How can I sign my child up for after-school classes?

Vendor-led classes use 6crickets for registration and payment. Start by selecting the blue button labeled. ‘Parents’ > ‘Programs at your school’ > then type ‘Sunnyland Elementary’ to see a list of classes available.

Are there scholarships available?

The PTA has limited scholarship funding available made possible through on-going fundraising. Requests can be made by emailing enrichment@sunnylandpta.org We are in need of volunteer chaperones in our vendor-led classes Children associated with volunteer chaperones can also receive a 100% scholarship. In addition, scholarships may be available through community organizations. You can apply for a one-time scholarship with Blue Skies for Children.

What is a volunteer chaperone and how do I sign-up?

Volunteering is a great way to engage with your students and our community here at Sunnyland! Chaperones play an important role in running a successful program by:

• Walking younger students to their enrichment classroom at the start of class

• Helping the instructor hand out materials

• Learning along with students by modeling active participation

• Helping with dismissal at the end of class

Chaperones do NOT have responsibilities to plan or lead classes

The PTA offers a full scholarship to students of volunteer chaperones. Just reach out to enrichment@sunnylandpta.org to let us know you would like to volunteer and we can get you a scholarship code to use when you register your student for class.

Where do I pick-up my child after class?

Pick-up for vendor-led and volunteer-led classes takes place outside the main entrance to the school at 2800 James St. A welcome email will be sent to the email address you used to register with any additional instructions.

I am interested in leading an enrichment class, who should I contact?

We are always looking for volunteers to lead our low/no cost clubs. Please reach out to enrichment@sunnylandpta.org
